Excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer good at working both independently and part of a team, dealing directly with clients and contractors on a broad range of projects from inception to completion. The candidate will be part of building and growing a successful building services practice alongside other disciplines.

Skills:

• Strong communication skill dealing with clients, architects and contractors

• CEng or working towards chartership

• Experience of working on a variety of projects hotels, residential (high end and mixed use)

• Ability to manage multi projects at one time

• Drive and determination

• Forward thinking and able to anticipate problems and resolve

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a MEP consultancy or working for a M&E Building Services Contractor

• Passion for sustainability within the built environment

• Good design skills

• NBS Specification writing

• Energy Strategies and Part L

• Experience in heat loss and heat gain calculations

• Experience using design software such as Hevacomp and IES, with a knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a range of projects ensuring time and financial deadlines are met

• Provide all design & technical aspects from concept to completion

• Ensure design compliance with current standards/building regulations/environmental and energy initiatives.

• Liaise with professionals including architects, other engineers and contractors.
